Counterstamped Half Cents
This is an interesting extension of my half cent collection: merchant counterstamps on U.S. half cents. As a general rule they are not overly expensive and make for an interesting diversion.

1828 counterstamped "AB".
1828 counterstamped "CL".
1828 counterstamped "D.W.B.".
1828 counterstamped eagle (?) and "A".
1834 counterstamped "G.W.C".
1835 countertamped "O&G" with stars within a dotted circle.
1851 counterstamped with an ornate "SPL".
1855 counterstamped "G . F".
1855 counterstamped "W.H" along with a "W" carved on the reverse.
